Summary: Designed and planned comprehensive HRIS integration strategy for BuildWitt, enabling seamless user provisioning and management across major enterprise HR platforms.
The Integration Challenge
Construction companies needed their training platform to talk to their HRIS. Not “nice to have”—needed. When someone gets hired, they need access. When someone leaves, that access needs to disappear. Doing this manually doesn’t scale.
Building the Integration Strategy
I designed integration architecture and requirements for connections with major HRIS platforms including:
- Workday
- SAP SuccessFactors
- EntraID & Okta
- Paylocity
- BambooHR
- UKG Pro & UKG Ready
This meant understanding not just the technical requirements, but how each platform thinks about identity, permissions, and data synchronization.
The Invisible Work
Great integrations are invisible—they just work. That invisibility requires:
- Mapping data models between systems
- Handling edge cases gracefully
- Building robust error handling
- Designing for eventual consistency
- Planning for when (not if) things go wrong
The Strategy
Beyond individual integrations, I established patterns and frameworks that would scale. Each new HRIS integration shouldn’t feel like starting from scratch—it should build on what came before.
